Wind's split octaves

explain why I hear my heart
in the tree's leaves - poplar's water shiver,
large-palmed maples, iron-spun brown oak.

Sometimes the wind reaches so far inside,
leaving nothing unturned, I find myself
welcoming an intimate chat with my stray selfishness.
Acting as if, a ventriloquist, I feel my mouth open and close
just to let the air sweep in
and out comes a giddy howl of laughter
stirring blood to my cheeks.
Arrow leaf falls
sharp, angry among the others
and wind comes, covers the ground,
sends up loneliness
helpless against itself -
wind leaves love
among the ruined.

Sun passes into tree,
copper sheath, birch bark white
grows a house within a house
roof of shining leaves.

Yes, I know that You have paved a path for me
Yes, I know that You see what I do and don't need
But when it comes to the deepest things
I have a hard time relinquishing control
Letting go

God, it hurts to give You what I must lay down
But when I let go freedom's found
God, it hurts to give You what I've held so dear
Because of Your love it's clear
I can trust You with this
I can trust You with me
I can trust You

Lord, I know that You are worthy of my trust
For You have shown me time and time again
You're faithful and yet
I'm so scared of letting go of this
Afraid of what You might do with it
How could I forget who You are like this

Me forsaking
Heart is breaking
I let go of what I've held so tight
Freedom's mine now
For the taking
I move in faith, not by sight
Let Your will be done.

Thought these were interesting:

"Toleration means reverence for all the possibilities of truth, it means acknowlegment that she dwells in diverse mansions, and wears vesture of many colours and speaks in strange tongues. It means frank respect for freedom of indwelling conscience against mechanical forms, official conventions, social force. It means the charity that is greater than faith or hope."
John Morley

"Intolerance is a sign of both arrogance and ignorance, for it is a sign that a man believes that there is no truth beyond tha truth he sees."
William Barclay

"It is necessary to rememeber that truth is always bigger than any man's grasp of it. No man can possibly grasp all truth. The basis of tolerance is not a lazy acceptance of anything. It is not the feeling there cannot be assurance anywhere. The basis of tolerance is simply the realisation of the magnitude of the orb of truth."
William Barclay

I found this in my organiser yesterday and thought it might make people smile. I know I did :)

"Is it a spider or a fly?" ... "It's a snail."

"Clare's nose was ere. Clare was ere. Clare was nose."

"It really surprised me when Jeanna's Matt came round and he was 3D."

"Do you have floating boats in Oxford too?"

"Can I come to your place tomorrow for some chemistry?"

"It looks like you're trying to make a giant tampon!"

"To be fair, we don't exactly cry urine."

Anyone want to claim the quotes??

I know that you have waited
So so faithfully,
I know that it's been painful
But I want you to know
That you are so pure, so precious, so lovely,
You have been crowned with immeasurable beauty
And Heaven rejoices
The moment you rise each day.

So I sing over you
A song of joy
Let the sun shine on your face.
I'll bring you life
And heal your wounds
Do you know I love you?
Do you know I love you?

I know that it may seem like
The storm will never cease.
But know that I am,
Trust my sovereignty.
I know my ways are hard to understand
My plan is greater than you can imagine
And through all the darkness,
I've never left your side.

So I sing over you
A song of joy
Let the sun shine on your face
I'll bring you life
And heal your wounds
Do you know I love you?
Do you know I love you?

Do you know I love you?
Do you know I love you?

I love you ...
I love you ...

There is strength for today
And bright hope for tomorrow

There is strength for today
And bright hope for tomorrow

Deep peace

Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you
Deep peace of the stunning stars to you
Deep peace of the Son of peace to you

Never to busy to care

Lord, make me so sensitive to the needs of those around me
that i never fail to know when they're hurtng or afraid
or when they're simply crying out for someone's touch to ease their loneliness
Let me love so much that my first thought is of others and my last thought is of me

Psalm 91- modern interpretation

I need not fear the thoughts that beset me whether by day or by night, for with God's help these thoughts will have no power over me
